Getting started
Fill out our quick sign-up form. It only takes a few minutes — we’ll collect some basic info, have you review the Code of Conduct, and ask you to sign our ride waiver.
Once you’re signed up, you’re in and ready to ride with us!
Yes — you must complete the sign-up form before joining any ride, no exceptions. It includes reviewing the Code of Conduct and signing the waiver, both of which are required.
Nope! GGCC is free to join. We’re a volunteer-run community, not a for-profit business.
GGCC is a cycling community for women (including trans women), femmes, non-binary people, and gender-expansive riders. You can learn more in our Code of Conduct.
If you’re not sure whether this space is for you, reach out to an organizer — we’re happy to help.
About the rides
We have three main ride types:
- Social rides — Our weekly Thursday evening rides. Beginner-friendly, all-levels, with multiple pace groups and a post-ride hangout.
- goFAST rides — Weekly Tuesday morning drop rides. Intentionally challenging, designed to push your speed and fitness.
- goFAR rides — Monthly Saturday adventure rides. Longer routes exploring areas outside of town, with different pace and distance options.
Check the Ride Schedule for the full calendar and details on all upcoming rides and club events.
Absolutely! Our social rides are specifically designed to be welcoming to beginners and new friends. We have multiple pace groups, and B Group is a chill, (mostly) no-drop option. Check out the schedule to find the next social ride.
- No-drop means the group makes every effort to keep everyone together, with regular regroups so no one gets left behind.
- Drop means the pace is faster and sustained — if you fall off the back, the group will continue. You’re expected to be self-sufficient and have the route on your device.
Note: Even on no-drop rides, we can’t 100% guarantee you won’t get separated from the group. Always come prepared.
Ride descriptions include pace and distance info for each group. If you’re unsure, start with B Group on a social ride — it’s the most relaxed option. You can always move up! And if you’re on the fence, we encourage you to challenge yourself. Ask in Slack if you want advice.
On social rides, ride leaders regroup regularly and do their best to keep everyone together, especially if you’re in the B group.
On goFAST rides, getting dropped is normal and expected. It’s part of the format.
Either way, always have the route downloaded on your device so you can navigate yourself back if needed.
