Route

goFAR rides are our longer weekend series, designed to get us out exploring farther than our typical time-crunched weekday routes.

For goFAR 02, we are trying out an incredible, demanding route from the folks at Dirty Freehub, the "Horn of the Metolius." All info and routes for download here.

We expect this ride to be significantly longer and more challenging than our typical rides, best suited for more experienced riders with a good fitness base and ability to ride long.

Plan for a big, hard day – We could easily be out there 6+ hours. Bring a lot of food and water, layers, and tools to be self sufficient in a remote area (if you have an inReach or other emergency coms device, bring it). We'll keep the pace approachable and sustainable for a big day, riding together as a group as best as possible, re-grouping a lot to ensure no one is left behind. We'll plan for lots of snack/lunch and stops to take in views!

Please download these routes to your navigation device of choice before the ride. This is especially important on a long, remote ride, where the likelihood of getting separated from the group is higher than a typical social ride.

Before you ride: Sign up for Goldilocks GRVL

If this is your first ride with Goldilocks GRVL Cycling Club (GGCC) in 2026, you'll need to complete our sign-up form before joining. It's quick β€” we'll collect some basic info, have you review the Code of Conduct, and ask you to sign our ride waiver.

You must complete this before your first ride with GGCC, no exceptions.

You only need to do this once and then you're good to go for the rest of the season!

Code of Conduct

You reviewed the Code of Conduct when you signed up, but it's worth a quick refresher β€” especially if it's been a while. Here are the highlights:

Follow your ride leaders. They're volunteers donating their time β€” listen to their calls and treat them with kindness.

Represent GGCC well. Be courteous to drivers, other trail users, and the businesses and neighborhoods we ride through.

Safety first. Follow the rules of the road and ride predictably.

Be aware of others. Slow down around pedestrians, call out hazards, and give a friendly heads-up when passing.

Help each other out. If someone has a mechanical, stop and lend a hand when you can.
