goFAR is back for 2026!

goFAR rides are our longer weekend series, designed to get us out exploring farther than our typical time-crunched weekday routes.

These rides are less structured than our social or goFAST rides. Because they’re longer (often several hours), we won’t have dedicated pace groups or ride leaders. We’ll roll out together on the same route, then folks can naturally settle into a pace that feels right—forming small groups with others riding at a similar speed.

We’ll include a few planned regroup spots where it makes sense, but we may not wait for everyone at every stop since riders can spread out quite a bit over a long route. We encourage you to connect with others going your pace and work together.

As always, riders should be self-sufficient—and we ask everyone to look out for each other as best we can.

Routes

Our goFAR rides are just one route and pace group. For our first goFAR ride, we’re doing a classic can’t miss route – McKenzie Pass summit before it opens to cars!

This route is entirely on road (no gravel), so you’re welcome to bring a road bike instead if you have a bike better suited for this route. However, bikes of all kinds work just fine to get up McKenzie Pass. We’re going for adventure and fun here, not pure efficiency and speed. If a gravel bike or even a mountain bike is the bike you have, just ride that!

Please download these routes to your navigation device of choice before the ride. This is especially important on a long ride, where the likelihood of getting separated from the group is higher than a typical social ride.

Before you ride: Sign up for Goldilocks GRVL

If this is your first ride with Goldilocks GRVL Cycling Club (GGCC) in 2026, you’ll need to complete our sign-up form before joining. It’s quick — we’ll collect some basic info, have you review the Code of Conduct, and ask you to sign our ride waiver.

You must complete this before your first ride with GGCC, no exceptions.

You only need to do this once and then you’re good to go for the rest of the season!

Code of Conduct

You reviewed the Code of Conduct when you signed up, but it’s worth a quick refresher — especially if it’s been a while. Here are the highlights:

  • Represent GGCC well. Be courteous to drivers, other trail users, and the businesses and neighborhoods we ride through.
  • Safety first. Follow the rules of the road and ride predictably.
  • Be aware of others. Slow down around pedestrians, call out hazards, and give a friendly heads-up when passing.
  • Help each other out. If someone has a mechanical, stop and lend a hand when you can.
  • Follow your ride leaders. They’re volunteers donating their time — listen to their calls and treat them with kindness.
